Key Benefits and Features of ESQ Managed Services for Servers and PCs
- Patching for all Servers and PCs – ESQ will apply patches to all servers for Microsoft Windows operating system patches and service packs. We go one step further by prescreening patches for stability to help ensure that they don’t crash other programs on the server or the server itself. We also patch the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office on all PCs. This includes Service Packs and Patches needed to keep the PCs running optimally. Patch management is vital for eliminating known security vulnerabilities and providing optimum stability, reliability and performance for your servers and workstations.
- Antivirus Protection for Servers and PCs – ESQ fully licenses, installs, maintains and remediates the Antivirus software. You do not have to pay for software renewals or pay ESQ to install version upgrades – these are included in the monthly MSA fee. We also check the PCs regularly to ensure each system has the latest antivirus definition updates. This ensures the Antivirus program is up to date and effective against new viruses.
- Antispam Protection for Servers and PCs – ESQ licenses, installs, maintains and remediates the Antispam solution. You do not have to pay for renewals or pay ESQ to install version upgrades. We also check for updates to the Antispam signatures every 30 minutes to ensure we’re using the latest spam definition updates.
- Antispyware Protection for PCs - ESQ licenses, installs, maintains and remediates the Antispyware software. Again, you do not have to pay fo annual software renewals or pay ESQ to install version upgrades – these are included in the monthly fees. We also check the PCs regularly to ensure each system has the latest Antispyware definition updates. We go a step further and manually run spyware scans of your PCs weekly to ensure the network stays clean.
- Real Time Notification of Server and PC Issues – All of your servers and PCs will be included in ESQ’s web portal. This portal is monitored by our Managed Services Administrator and our systems engineers during the week. The monitoring agents on the servers and PCs report the current status of each device into the portal continually and generate alerts for critical issues so we can recognize an issue before it becomes critical or even watch a situation that is a concern. It is not uncommon for us to call a managed client about an issue on a device before they know about it.
- Comprehensive Backup Monitoring – For clients that decide to continue using Symantec Backup Exec for traditional tape or disk backups, ESQ provides comprehensive monitoring of all backup jobs and receives alerts for any backup failures so appropriate corrective action can be taken to ensure integrity of the backups. However, ESQ strongly recommends our Business Continuity and Data Protection Solution as a far superior alternative to traditional tape or disk backups. is a fully managed and monitored disk-to-disk-to-offsite backup solution with strong business continuity functionality based on rapid server virtualization technology.
- Temporary File Deletion for PCs – ESQ will remove Temporary Internet Files and other temp folder files from the PC allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. Temp files have been known to slow down PC performance over time and are a common source for Adware, Spyware and Viruses. By eliminating these files before they accumulate ESQ helps your systems perform better on an ongoing basis.
- Computer Inventory & Asset Tracking for Servers and PCs – ESQ will track and monitor important asset information on each PC. This information is updated daily and includes:
- Installed Programs
- Operating System and Service Pack level
- Total and Used HD space
- Hardware inventory including CPU, Memory, Hard Drives, Serial Number, BIOS Date
- Monthly Reporting on Server and PC Activity – ESQ includes all maintenance tasks and sends you the results in your Monthly Network Activity Executive Summary report. We can also provide you with Asset Change reports, Patch Management Reports and Antivirus/Antispyware Reports.
- Quarterly Business Reviews –These meetings provide an opportunity for us to find out from your perspective how we’re doing with regard to our customer service and technical service, and serve as a forum for us to discuss with you what we’re seeing in your network environment. Because we “touch” hundreds of networks, we can also provide guidance to you regarding technologies that may be of benefit to your bottom line. We believe that 90% of excellent customer service is communication, so we consider the Quarterly Business Reviews to be a very important part of each of our ESQ Managed Services Agreements.
